How to use White Hot Spikes

White Hot Spikes changes newly placed spikes from Sharp to Normal damage, so they can pop Lead Bloons, DDTs (once their Camo is handled) and Frozen Bloons. Pierce and damage stay the same as Bigger Stacks.

When to buy it

It is expensive for an upgrade that only changes damage type, so do not buy it as your first answer to early Leads. A cheap Alchemist or a 1-2-0 Sniper Monkey handles those for less.

Where it earns its place:

  • 2-0-4 or 2-0-5 Spike Factories that need to handle DDTs on their own.
  • Builds next to freezing towers such as Snowstorm or Silas, since Sharp spikes cannot pop frozen Bloons.
  • Tier 5 crosspaths that would otherwise depend on external lead popping.

If you already have lead and frozen coverage elsewhere, Bigger Stacks alone gives the same pierce for less.

Is it worth it?

Situationally. It is a clean way to make a Spike Factory self-sufficient against DDTs and Lead, but skip it when other towers already solve those properties.
