How to use Snowstorm
Snowstorm adds 10 range (also enlarging the Arctic Wind aura and ice platform) and an activated ability. The ability deals 1 damage to every bloon on screen, including MOAB-class, then freezes them for 6 seconds (7 with the Hypothermia Monkey Knowledge). White, zebra and camo bloons are only frozen for 3 seconds, and MOAB-class bloons are slowed rather than frozen. The ability needs the Cold Snap crosspath to damage lead bloons and DDTs. It has a 30 second cooldown and is first ready 10 seconds after purchase.
When to buy it
Snowstorm is a support tower for rounds 81 to 100. Use the ability to stop bloons and blimps near the exit, or to freeze a super ceramic rush in place. It pairs especially well with Admiral Brickell, whose mines can hit new blimps entering the screen while the old ones are held back.
Watch out: frozen bloons block sharp projectiles, which hurts towers like The Tack Zone.
- 2-4-0 is the optimal crosspath, adding lead and camo interaction.
- 1-4-0 gives the ability permafrost for a lasting slow after the freeze.
Is it worth it?
Yes, as a late-game staller with good timing. It is also the step to Absolute Zero, which does everything better.
