How to use Cold Snap
Cold Snap lets the Ice Monkey damage and freeze lead bloons and target and hit camo bloons. White bloons are still immune to its freeze.
It adds crosspath perks too: Arctic Wind and higher can slow lead bloons with their aura, and Cryo Cannon and higher get the Camo Prioritization targeting option.
When to buy it
As a standalone 2-1-0 Ice Monkey it is good against the Golden Bloon of rounds 31 to 40 and for stalling the camo regrow ceramics inside DDTs.
As a crosspath, 2-x-0 or 2-0-x is common whenever an Ice Monkey has to deal with lead or camo:
- 2-3-0 Arctic Wind and 2-4-0 Snowstorm can affect lead and camo bloons, and Snowstorm's ability can damage lead and DDTs.
- 2-0-3 Cryo Cannon and 2-0-4 Icicles gain camo targeting, and icicles switch to the normal damage type.
Is it worth it?
Yes. Lead and camo coverage for $350 is great value, and it is the required step to Ice Shards and Embrittlement.
