Supply Drop

Supply Drop adds an ability that calls in a plane to drop a crate. You can toggle it between two crate types:

• Cash crate: worth $1,100 when collected.
• Ammo crate: for the next 6 shots the Sniper gets +3 pierce, double damage, double projectile lifespan and a damage type that pops everything.

The ability has a 90 second cooldown, can be used at most 3 times per round per Sniper, and stops recharging once a round has run for 180 seconds. The upgrade also raises bullet bounces from 2 to 4 (5 Bloons per shot) and shrapnel pierce from 2 to 5. Using one cash crate also triggers every other ready cash Supply Drop you own.

When to buy it

Supply Drop is mainly an income tower. It is at its best when you stall rounds so it can use the ability at least twice per round, which makes it more efficient than Banana Farms. To stall, place it behind a line-of-sight blocker so its shots do not end the round early. Without stalling, the income is mediocre.

Cash crates do not work in modes without income such as CHIMPS, and there its stats are poor for the price.

For damage, 0-4-2 is more consistent and works better with Berserker Brew; 2-4-0 is more self-sufficient and pairs better with the ammo crate.

Is it worth it?

In modes with income and on maps where you can stall, yes. In CHIMPS, only as a step to Elite Sniper.
