How to use Hot Shots
Hot Shots heats the tacks: they now deal 2 damage instead of 1 and switch to the normal damage type, so they pop lead and frozen bloons. Attack speed stays at 0.63 seconds from Even Faster Shooting.
When to buy it
Hot Shots is a decent early-game tower, very solid on maps with tight bends where tacks hit the track from several sides, and weaker on maps without them. The extra damage lets it skip layers and handle single strong bloons better.
- 3-2-0 adds range and 4 pierce per tack. It is the best general crosspath, shines in Races and leads smoothly into Ring of Fire.
- 3-0-2 adds more tacks per shot, which helps against single targets close to the tower.
Is it worth it?
Yes, as a cheap lead-popping early tower and as the step toward Ring of Fire. Compared with Blade Shooter it hits harder but has less pierce, so pick the one that fits your track.
