How to use Tack Sprayer

Tack Sprayer increases tacks per shot from 12 to 16 and gives each tack +1 pierce, for 2 in total. It still fires every 1.12 seconds, still deals 1 sharp damage per tack and still cannot pop lead.

When to buy it

Tack Sprayer is a good early-game tower, especially on maps where it can sit inside a tight bend and hit the track from several sides. On straight tracks it wastes most of its tacks.

  • 2-0-3 is the usual crosspath, cutting the cooldown to 0.63 seconds.
  • 0-2-3 adds range and pierce and is the stronger option in Races.

A 2-0-3 Tack Sprayer is also a decent opener in Boss Rush against Bloonarius and Blastapopoulos.

Is it worth it?

Yes, on maps with good bends. It is also the required step toward Overdrive and The Tack Zone, two strong single-target towers.
