How to use Blade Shooter

Blade Shooter swaps tacks for large blades. Each blade has 8 pierce (10 with Poppy Blades), a bigger hitbox, and the range jumps to 46, about twice the base. The damage type becomes shatter, which pops frozen bloons but not lead.

When to buy it

Blade Shooter is valuable against long, constant streams of normal bloons, which makes it a strong early-game pick in Races and time-attack style modes. In CHIMPS and other modes with gaps between rounds it is less useful, because other options such as Ring of Fire do group damage more efficiently.

  • 2-3-0 makes it fire every 0.63 seconds.
  • 0-3-2 fires 12 blades per shot.

Place it where most of its blades cross the track.

Is it worth it?

In Races, yes. Elsewhere it is mainly the step toward Blade Maelstrom. Compared with Hot Shots it has more pierce right away but less damage and no lead popping.
