Central Market

Central Market raises each Marketplace cash packet from $20 to $70, so a 0-0-4 makes $1,120 per round. 2-0-4 adds 4 packets for $1,400 per round, and 0-2-4 adds 25% packet value for the same $1,400. Each Central Market also gives every Merchantman (and its upgrades) on the map +10% income, stacking up to +100% with 10 Central Markets. With Healthy Bananas it gives 3 lives per round.

When to buy it

On its own, Central Market is less cost-efficient than a Marketplace or a Banana Research Facility. Its real job is the Monkey Buccaneer combo:

• A Trade Empire, up to 20 Favored Trades and 10 Central Markets is one of the strongest farming setups in the game.
• With 10 Central Markets, every Merchantman doubles its income, even ones outside the Trade Empire.
• Favored Trades also raises sellback for nearby farms, making Central Markets cheap to sell later.

This works best on maps with plenty of water, such as Spice Islands or Luminous Cove. On land-heavy maps, BRFs with Overclock are usually better.

Is it worth it?

In a Trade Empire setup, yes. As a standalone farm, a 4-2-0 Banana Research Facility earns more. It is disabled in CHIMPS along with all other farms.
