Banana Research Facility (BRF) stops growing bananas and instead produces 5 crates per round worth $300 each, for $1,500 per round. With Valuable Bananas each crate is worth $375, so a 4-2-0 makes $1,875 per round. That is a huge jump from the $320 to $400 of Banana Plantation.

When to buy it

BRF is the main mid-game farm in standard games. A common route is to run Marketplaces or a Monkey Bank, save up, then buy Banana Plantation and BRF back to back. Once you have one, add more as income allows.

Always use 4-2-0. Valuable Bananas is a flat 25% increase on every crate, and it carries into Banana Central later.

Two buffs make BRF much stronger:

• Overclock raises a BRF from 5 to 9 crates per round, roughly 80% more cash, and has full uptime on tier 4 towers. One Overclock per BRF is a standard farming setup.
• Banana Central gives every BRF on the map +25% crate value.

Monkey City adds another 20% to farm income in its range.

Is it worth it?

Yes. It is the backbone of most heavy farming strategies and the required step to Banana Central. It is not usable in CHIMPS or Deflation, where farms are disabled.
