Monkey City gives most income-producing towers in range +20% income, including Banana Farms and Bloon Traps. It adds 10 range to the Village and gives you a free Dart Monkey every round. It keeps the Monkey Town cash-per-pop buff and the Commerce discount.

When to buy it

Monkey City is a key part of heavy farming:

• Banana Research Facilities and Banana Central earn 20% more inside its range.
• It is one of the few buffs that raises the Monkey-Nomics ability payout.
• The extra range lets more defense towers benefit from Monkey Town at the same time.
• Free Dart Monkeys are handy as emergency defense or as fodder against Blastapopoulos meteors.

1-0-4 is the preferred crosspath for maximum range. Other ways to push range further include another Village nearby, Overclock, or a Desperado or Bounty Hunter ability.

In CHIMPS

Its income bonuses have nothing to boost in CHIMPS, because farms are disabled and pop bonuses are turned off. Skip it there.
