Monkeyopolis

Monkeyopolis absorbs every tier 4 or lower Banana Farm in its range, deleting them to free up space, and turns their value into its own income. It produces 10 cash crates per round. Income per round is $1,000 plus $200 for every full $2,000 of farm value absorbed, with a minimum of $1,200 per round. It keeps all the Monkey City, Monkey Town and discount buffs.

Its price is unusual: it always costs $5,000 for each Banana Farm in range, on every difficulty. You cannot buy it at all unless at least one farm is in range. Tier 5 farms and farms owned by other players in Co-op are not absorbed. The farms you absorb do not add to its sell value.

When to buy it

Monkeyopolis sees most use in Boss Events, where its mix of income, discounts and buffs to other income sources adds up.

The common trick is the "Miniopolis":

1. Place two or four 0-0-2 Villages next to each other to stack discounts.
2. Upgrade one of them to Monkey Town.
3. Place a single unupgraded Banana Farm within range of as many discount Villages as possible.
4. Buy Monkey City and then Monkeyopolis, paying only $5,000 for the one farm.

This gives you the City buffs plus a minimum $1,200 per round early, around the early 30s or after the tier 1 boss. Advanced players use an IMF Loan with Bank Deposits to build a bigger version.

Absorbing many upgraded farms costs $5,000 per farm, so make sure their value justifies the cost.

How it compares

• Homeland Defense is the combat tier 5 and works in any mode.
• Primary Expertise supports Primary towers.
• Monkeyopolis is the only income tier 5 Village, and it is strongest when bought cheaply as a Miniopolis.

In CHIMPS

Monkeyopolis cannot be bought in CHIMPS or Deflation. Banana Farms are disabled there, and it requires at least one farm in range.

Is it worth it?

Yes as a cheap Miniopolis in Boss Events and long income games. Absorbing many big farms rarely pays back compared with just keeping them.
