How to use Primary Training
Primary Training adds a second buff that only affects Primary towers in range (Dart, Boomerang, Bomb, Tack, Ice, Glue and Desperado). They get +1 pierce, +10% range and +25% projectile speed. The Jungle Drums buff still applies to every tower.
When to buy it
The +1 pierce is the main gain, and it helps most on Primary towers whose projectiles have low pierce but fire very often, such as The Tack Zone, Perma Charge or MOAB Glue. On towers that already have huge pierce, like Glaive Lord, a flat +1 matters little.
It is fairly cheap ($800 on Medium) and is the step to Primary Mentoring. Use 3-2-0 so every tower in range also sees Camo.
With Desperados, watch the range boost: it can change how the shotgun Wanderer stacks work, so check placement.
Is it worth it?
Yes in Primary-heavy defenses, especially in Primary Only games. In mixed defenses, a 2-3-0 or 2-2-0 Village usually gives more value.
