How to use Bounty Hunter

Bounty Hunter adds a marking system. Every 6 seconds it marks up to 2 Bloons. Marked Bloons take double damage from every Desperado and give double cash when popped, though the mark only applies to one layer. All Desperados on the map gain an option to prioritise marked Bloons. Its pistol and rifle also gain bonus damage against Ceramics.

It unlocks the Marked to Pop ability: the Desperado stops its normal attacks, rapidly marks Bloons for 2 seconds (about 10 Bloons), then fires at every marked Bloon for 1 second with infinite range. Each hit deals 30 damage before the mark doubles it. Take Aim is upgraded too: +50% range, 80% less spread, and the target tower can damage Black, White and Purple Bloons while it lasts.

When to buy it

Bounty Hunter shines as a single-target booster for other Desperados. Marks double the damage of Twin Sixes and The Blazing Sun, which matters on big blimp rounds such as 60, 80 and 100.

The improved Take Aim is a strong support tool. It lets towers with weaknesses ignore them for a while: The Biggest One against DDTs, Recursive Cluster, Arctic Knight and Ring of Fire. It can also extend a Monkey City or Monkey Commerce Village to reach more towers. The cash bonus can produce income alongside blimp instakills such as XXXL Trap and Pirate Lord, but it is weaker than normal farming.

2-4-0 is the usual crosspath, for Quickdraw at range and Standoff's single-target speed. 0-4-2 is more consistent against groups.

Is it worth it?

Yes, in a Desperado-heavy setup or as a Take Aim support. On its own it does not deal much damage.
