How to use Deadeye
Deadeye adds a long-range rifle. The rifle has 80 range, fires every 1.59 seconds, deals 10 damage with +10 against Fortified Bloons, hits up to 4 Bloons close together and can pop every Bloon type, Lead included. Its crit chance grows with distance even faster than the pistol's. The rifle cannot hit Bloons inside pistol range, so the Desperado switches to the pistol for close targets. The pistol now deals 6 damage but its range drops to 40.
Deadeye also unlocks Take Aim: pick any tower on screen and give it +25% range, 50% less projectile spread and Camo detection for 15 seconds, on a 30 second cooldown.
When to buy it
Deadeye is good mid-game support damage at a fair price. Point the rifle at Bloons far away to maximise crits and keep Bloons out of the pistol's short range. Strong targeting suits it for single targets.
Take Aim is often the main reason to buy it:
- Give temporary camo detection to a strong tower on a camo round.
- Tighten the spread of towers that waste shots, such as Buckshot Dartling Gunners, Grape Shot Buccaneers or Sun Avatars.
- Stretch a Village's range so its buffs reach more towers.
2-3-0 is the usual crosspath because Quickdraw fits the long rifle range and Standoff improves single-target damage. 0-3-2 keeps its speed bonus more consistently and handles groups better, but the extra range often costs it Wanderer stacks. If you only want Take Aim, skip the crosspath.
Is it worth it?
Yes. Deadeye is cheap for what it does, works well in numbers inside a Primary Mentoring Village, and Take Aim is a flexible support tool.
