Cluster Bombs

Cluster Bombs replaces frags with small bombs. Each shot now releases 8 clusters that fly outwards and explode one after another, each explosion dealing 1 damage with 8 pierce in a 15 radius, slightly larger than the main blast. Unlike frags, clusters can hit the same bloon as the main bomb. Every explosion is still the explosion type, so black bloons cannot be popped.

When to buy it

Cluster Bombs is excellent in Races, where its huge total pierce wipes out massive clumps of bloons. In normal games it is held back by its black bloon weakness, and it mostly serves as cheap group damage in bomb-focused strategies.

• 2-0-3 is recommended in nearly every case: 2 damage and more pierce on every explosion.
• 0-2-3 fires more often but deals much less damage per explosion.

Striker Jones fixes the black bloon problem and buffs every bomb, which makes the whole bottom path much stronger.

Is it worth it?

Yes in Races and as a step to Recursive Cluster. In other modes only take it if you have black bloon support.
