How to use Extra Range
Extra Range increases the Bomb Shooter range by 12, from 40 to 52, roughly 30% more. Nothing else changes: same damage, pierce and attack speed.
When to buy it
On a 0-0-1 Bomb Shooter the extra reach barely makes up for its weak damage, so it is rarely bought alone. Its main uses are:
- As the first step toward Frag Bombs and the cluster path.
- As a crosspath for MOAB Mauler, MOAB Assassin and MOAB Eliminator when they need to cover more track, where 0-x-1 or 0-x-2 also give them frags.
- On Really Big Bombs and Bloon Impact when a wider reach matters more than attack speed.
Is it worth it?
It is cheap and occasionally useful, but its value comes from what it leads to. Buy it when you are going to Frag Bombs or when a tower is just out of reach of a key part of the track.
