How to use Lead To Gold
Lead to Gold makes every Alchemist attack and acid deal +9 damage to Lead Bloons, enough to destroy a whole lead (even a fortified one) in one hit. Each Lead Bloon popped by these attacks gives an extra $50 on top of normal pop income. The $50 is not boosted by Monkey City and similar buffs, but Double Cash mode does apply.
When to buy it
Lead to Gold is an income tool. It only pays off when many Lead Bloons come through its range, which is why it is strongest in:
- Alternate Bloons Rounds, especially rounds 37 and 38.
- Dreadbloon boss events, whose modified rounds spawn far more leads.
- Rogue Legends, where normal farming is weaker.
Place the Alchemist at the start of the track and avoid other lead-popping towers before it, or they will steal the gold. Crosspath 1-0-3 so Larger Potions covers more leads.
Is it worth it?
On normal rounds, not really; there are too few leads. In lead-heavy modes and events it pays for itself quickly and leads into Rubber to Gold.
