How to use Glue Storm
Glue Storm replaces Glue Strike's one-shot ability with a storm. When activated, it glues every Bloon on screen once per second for 20 seconds, instead of only once. The glue still makes Bloons take +2 damage from all sources and removes Lead and Frozen immunities, and each application lasts 11 seconds. The cooldown stays at 40 seconds. Attack speed buffs such as Jungle Drums make the storm apply glue more often.
The big difference from Glue Strike is consistency. Because the glue keeps landing, the damage debuff hits blimp children and newly spawned Bloons as they appear, which effectively gives every tower on screen bonus damage for the whole storm.
When to buy it
Glue Storm is strongest after round 80 in CHIMPS and in Freeplay. It shines with fast-attacking, low-damage towers like Sun Avatar and Bloonjitsu with Shinobi Tactics. Its steady de-Lead also helps against DDT rounds, including round 95, reducing how much you depend on other DDT answers.
- 1-5-0 or 2-5-0 if your defense struggles during the downtime between storms; the first path keeps Bloons slowed and debuffed through blimp layers.
- 0-5-1 keeps the glue on a single blimp, such as a BAD or a Boss Bloon, for the whole storm and beyond.
In Freeplay, ability cooldown buffs such as Primary Expertise and Energizer let you start the storm more often, which matters when new BADs keep spawning.
Glue Storm vs Glue Strike
Glue Storm is more consistent while active but has a fixed 20 second gap afterwards. Several Glue Strikes can be timed evenly across the hard moments of a round. In Races, where speed matters, selling and rebuying Glue Strike is usually better than Glue Storm.
Is it worth it?
For the late game, boss fights and Freeplay, yes. It is one of the most powerful support tier 5s for the price and makes almost any damage tower better. For early rounds or Races it is overkill, and Glue Strike is the more cost-effective choice. Against Boss Events it is a strong pick because the boss stays debuffed for most of the storm.
Frequently asked questions
How long does Glue Storm last?
The storm lasts 20 seconds and has a 40 second cooldown. Each glue application lasts 11 seconds, longer with Stickier Glue.
Is Glue Storm better than Glue Strike?
Glue Storm is better for sustained late-game rounds and bosses. Multiple Glue Strikes are more flexible and better in Races.
Does Glue Storm work on BADs?
Yes. The +2 damage debuff and the de-Lead effect land on BADs too, which is a big part of why Glue Storm is so strong in the final rounds.
How much does Glue Storm cost?
$16,000 on Medium. The prices for all difficulties are at the top of the page.
