Bloon Dissolver turns the glue into a real damage source. The damage over time now ticks every 0.5 seconds instead of every 2 seconds and deals 2 extra damage to Ceramics on each tick. The gunner also gains 1 pierce and attacks twice as fast, firing every 0.5 seconds instead of every second. In practice that means a glued Ceramic from before round 81 melts on its own without help from another tower.

When to buy it

It is a reliable mid-game cleanup tower for strong non-blimp Bloons: Ceramics, Rainbows and Leads that slip past your main damage. Place it near the end of a long path so the acid has time to finish its work. It struggles on short maps and multi-lane maps, where Bloons leave range before they dissolve.

3-2-0 is the standard build. Glue Splatter's extra pierce fixes its biggest weakness, rounds with big clumps of low-tier Bloons such as round 49. Try not to have other towers break Ceramics into dozens of small Bloons right in front of it, because it handles a few tough Bloons far better than many weak ones.

Is it worth it?

Yes, as a mid-game support and as the stepping stone to Bloon Liquefier and The Bloon Solver. On its own it will not carry late rounds, but for its price the Ceramic cleanup is good value.
