How to use Glue Soak
Glue Soak changes how far the glue goes. Without it, a glob wears off after the top few layers pop, so a slowed Zebra quickly turns into unslowed Blacks and Whites. With Glue Soak the glue applies to all layers of a non-MOAB Bloon, so every child that comes out of a glued Bloon is still glued and still slowed. It does not soak through MOAB-class layers: even when the gunner can glue a blimp, the Bloons inside come out clean.
When to buy it
On a standalone early Glue Gunner it shines on high-layer rounds such as the Zebras of round 26 and the Rainbows of round 35, where you want the fast children to stay slow without re-gluing them. Pair it with Bigger Globs (1-1-0) so each shot covers more than one Bloon.
As a crosspath its main job is unlocking Corrosive Glue for the 2-x-x builds. It is also the key crosspath for Glue Strike and Glue Storm (1-4-0 or 1-5-0), because with Glue Soak the ability glue and its damage debuff soak through blimp layers too, so the Ceramics that spill out of a popped BFB or ZOMG are already slowed and debuffed.
Is it worth it?
Cheap and genuinely useful in the early game, and close to mandatory on ability builds that face dense blimp rounds in CHIMPS. On MOAB Glue, Relentless Glue and Super Glue it is a poor crosspath: those builds need pierce from the middle path far more than soak.
