Carrier Flagship

Carrier Flagship is the top path tier 5 Monkey Buccaneer. It improves every weapon on its aircraft:

• Forward darts gain +3 pierce and +3 Ceramic damage, and can now fire in any direction.
• Radial darts and grapes gain +5 pierce and +3 Ceramic damage.
• MOAB missiles deal more damage, fire twice as fast and can now damage DDTs.
• With Hot Shot, burn damage rises from 4 to 9 per tick on both the boat and the planes.

It also buffs every water tower and every Monkey Ace on screen, itself included, with a shorter attack cooldown. That covers all Buccaneers, Monkey Subs, Monkey Aces, Admiral Brickell, and Mermonkeys, Ice Monkeys and Sun Temples placed on water. Paragons are not affected.

Finally, it has two land platforms on its deck. Towers up to medium size can be placed there, which lets you put them over the track or behind obstacles, and the raised height helps them see past some line-of-sight blockers.

When to buy it

Carrier Flagship is a strong global damage option for the mid to late game, and the save-up from Aircraft Carrier is smooth because the tier 4 already carries the mid-game. Like Aircraft Carrier, it is most reliable on maps with one lane per round.

Crosspaths:

• 5-2-0 when the main boat's range covers every lane, so the Destroyer attack and burning grapes work.
• 5-0-2 otherwise, for more plane dart pierce and Camo detection.

Admiral Brickell is the best hero partner: Naval Tactics doubles its attack speed and lets the forward darts pop DDTs, which they cannot do even with Hot Shot.

The platforms have a famous trick: placing an Overdrive or The Tack Zone directly on the track for extreme damage.

Late game and Freeplay

The attack speed buff makes Carrier Flagship a good addition to almost any water-based strategy. It also buffs Sun Temples placed on water, which makes it a strong Freeplay tower when you do not want a Navarch of the Seas ending your stall.

Is it worth it?

Yes. It is strong damage on its own and one of the best support tier 5s for water setups. On maps with several lanes at once, its planes are less reliable, so test it before relying on it in CHIMPS.
