Cannon Ship

Cannon Ship replaces the dart attack with cannonballs. Each one explodes on impact in a large area, hitting up to 20 Bloons for 2 damage (30 with Long Range), and sprays 8 sharp frags in all directions. The cannon fires every 1.3 seconds. Grape damage rises from 1 to 3. The explosion cannot pop Black Bloons, but the frags and burning grapes can.

When to buy it

Cannon Ship is a cost-effective early group popper and a cheaper alternative to Destroyer when you mainly need to break up clumps, for example in Least Cash or Least Tiers challenges, or in Boss Rush when you need a cheap defense. Its weakness is single-target damage, so Ceramics and MOAB-class Bloons are a problem.

Placement: like other Buccaneers, put it between two stretches of track so it fires from both sides, and keep it close to the track. Without darts it misses spread-out Bloons more often.

• 0-3-1 Long Range in Races, for more explosion and frag pierce.
• 0-3-2 if you need built-in Camo detection.
• Double Shot only adds one grape here, so skip it.

Is it worth it?

Yes, as a cheap group popper and as the path to Monkey Pirates and Pirate Lord. Pair it with something that handles Ceramics and blimps.
