How to use Crow’s Nest
Crow's Nest gives the Buccaneer Camo detection and the Camo Prioritization targeting option. Unlike many camo upgrades it adds nothing else, so it only makes sense when the boat really needs to see camos itself.
When to buy it
Combined with Long Range's pierce, a camo-seeing Buccaneer is useful in plenty of situations:
- 0-1-2 Grape Shot is reliable early camo coverage for a low price.
- 0-2-2 Hot Shot pops Camo Lead Bloons reliably and cheaply.
- 0-3-2 Cannon Ship and 0-4-2 Monkey Pirates, when you want built-in camo detection, including hooking DDTs without outside support.
- 4-0-2 Aircraft Carrier and 5-0-2 Carrier Flagship, when the main boat cannot reach the track and the planes need camo detection and pierce.
It is also the step to Merchantman.
Is it worth it?
Yes, when you have no other camo source near the water or want to save a support slot. If a Village with Radar Scanner already covers the boat, skip it.
