Faster Shooting

Faster Shooting cuts the cooldown of all the Buccaneer's attacks by 25%, which is about 33% more attack speed. On a basic Buccaneer the dart attack now fires every 0.75 seconds. As a crosspath it speeds up every other attack it has, including grapes and cannonballs.

When to buy it

As a standalone 1-0-0 it is poor value: for the same money, a second basic Buccaneer adds more damage. Its job is as a crosspath:

• 1-1-0 and 1-2-0: faster grapes for early damage on both sides of the boat.
• 1-3-0 Cannon Ship and 1-4-0 Monkey Pirates: the default crosspath for general play and better single-target damage.
• 2-5-0 Pirate Lord: Faster Shooting and Double Shot are the recommended crosspath in almost every game.

In Races and time-attack modes, Long Range usually beats it because pierce matters more than speed there. On bottom path Buccaneers it is a weak pick; they gain far more from the extra grapes of Grape Shot and the burn of Hot Shot.

It is also the first step to Destroyer, one of the strongest mid-game water towers.

Is it worth it?

Yes, as a crosspath for the middle path and as the step to Destroyer. Skip it on Merchantman builds.
