How to use Lots More Darts

Lots More Darts raises the number of darts in each Monkey Ace volley from 8 to 12, a flat 50% boost to the radial dart attack. Nothing else changes: dart damage, pierce and attack speed stay the same, and the plane still cannot pop lead or see camo on its own.

When to buy it

This upgrade is most useful for Aces that rely on their darts. Neva-Miss Targeting and Spectre builds get a lot out of it, which is why 2-0-3 and 2-0-4 are the usual crosspaths for those towers. With homing darts, 50% more projectiles means 50% more seeking damage.

For bottom-of-the-middle-path builds like Bomber Ace and Ground Zero, most of the damage comes from bombs, so Lots More Darts adds little. A 2-3-0 Bomber is only worth it if you have nothing else handling black bloons, since bombs cannot damage them and the darts can.

It is also the required step toward Fighter Plane, so you will buy it on the way to Operation: Dart Storm and Sky Shredder anyway.

Is it worth it?

For dart-focused Aces it is one of the best value crosspaths the tower has. For bomb-focused Aces, skip it unless you specifically need the extra darts against black bloons, and take Rapid Fire alone instead.
