How to use Centered Path
Centered Path adds a new flight option: the Ace circles a point that you can place anywhere on the map. The circle has a radius of 90 units, slightly bigger than the default Circle pattern. When you buy it, the plane switches to Centered Path automatically and the center starts in the middle of the screen, so move it right away.
How to use it
Without micro, the circle is too large to stay over the track on most maps, so you get the most out of it by moving the center as bloons advance. A good habit is to place the new center where the plane will be soon, rather than where the bloons are now, because the plane needs time to fly over.
It pairs well with any Ace that needs to stay near the bloons:
- Sky Shredder (5-0-2): keep the 32-dart volleys over the densest part of the track.
- Ground Zero and Tsar Bomba (0-4-2, 0-5-2): bombing runs only drop over the track, so better positioning means more bombs land.
- Spectre and Flying Fortress: the step to Neva-Miss, and it keeps the barrage close to its targets.
When to buy it
It is the required step to Neva-Miss Targeting, so every bottom-path Ace takes it. As a crosspath, add it once you are ready to micro the plane.
Is it worth it?
For players who like to control their towers, it is one of the most valuable crosspaths the Ace has. If you prefer to set and forget, Spy Plane or Rapid Fire usually give more for the money.
