Bomber Ace

Bomber Ace swaps the single pineapple for a bombing run. Every 1.6 seconds (1.2 with Rapid Fire), while the plane is flying over the track, it drops four bombs in quick succession. Each bomb explodes 2 seconds later for 3 damage with 20 pierce in a 35-unit radius. Bombs inherit Spy Plane's double camo damage and can pop lead, but they cannot damage black bloons. Sharper Darts adds 12 pierce per bomb.

When to buy it

Bomber Ace is mainly a race and Time Attack tool. It dumps a lot of explosive pierce for $900, which helps you send rounds early. In normal play it handles groups of leads and camo ceramics in the early mid-game, but its damage depends heavily on how much of its flight path crosses the track.

Crosspaths:

• 1-3-0: the standard pick. Rapid Fire makes bombing runs more frequent and more consistent.
• 2-3-0: extra darts help against black bloons, which bombs cannot touch.
• 0-3-1: more pierce per bomb, but usually less overall damage, since bombs only drop while the plane is over the track.

Bombs only fall over the track, so pick the flight pattern that crosses the most track, and switch patterns when the bloons move to another section of the map.
