How to use Sprockets
Sprockets halves the attack cooldown of both the Engineer's nailgun and any newly placed sentries, doubling their attack speed. It does not make sentries appear faster. With the Pin crosspath, sentries can now pin Bloons too.
When to buy it
Sprockets is an early-game damage upgrade that costs more than Double Gun but puts more damage into its sentries. Like the rest of the top path, it is weak until all its sentries are deployed, and placement can be random.
- 3-2-0 is better when building toward Sentry Champion, because Deconstruction helps against blimps and Fortified.
- 3-0-2 is better for the early game and holding groups, since its sentries pin Bloons. It beats 2-0-3 at that job.
Is it worth it?
As a cheap early tower or as a step to Sentry Expert, yes. It falls off once Ceramics show up, so plan to keep upgrading or move your money elsewhere.
