Faster Engineering (2-0-0) halves the sentry cooldown to 5 seconds and speeds up foam and traps. A key crosspath for Bloon Trap and Cleansing Foam.
Increased efficiency allows the Engineer to produce sentries, foam and bloon traps more often.

How to use Faster Engineering
Faster Engineering halves the time between sentries, from 10 seconds to 5 seconds, which doubles how many sentries the Engineer produces. You can now have up to five sentries out at once, six with Vigilant Sentries. On other paths it speeds things up too: Cleansing Foam's foam gun cooldown is halved, and Bloon Trap restocks its trap 50% faster with a shorter replacement delay.
When to buy it
It is more cost-efficient at making sentries than Sentry Gun alone, so on a top path Engineer it should come right after.
As a crosspath it is often the best pick:
- 2-3-0 Cleansing Foam: faster foam handles Regrow rounds better than extra pierce, and you also get stronger sentries.
- 2-0-4 Bloon Trap and 2-0-5 XXXL Trap: faster trap refresh means more income. The trade-off is losing the trap repositioning and auto-collect of Larger Service Area.
Is it worth it?
Yes. It is a cheap, high-value crosspath and the backbone of the top path.
