Laser Shock

Laser Shock makes every Dartling projectile apply a shock that deals 1 damage after a second. Shocked bloons also take +1 damage from every other Dartling Gunner with at least one top-path upgrade, so several Dartlings together gain even more.

How it interacts with other paths:

• Hydra Rocket Pods and above: only the missile hit applies the shock, not the explosions, and there is no bonus shocked damage.
• Buckshot and Bloon Area Denial System: shock and bonus damage both rise to 2.
• Bloon Exclusion Zone: shock and bonus rise to 4.

When to buy it

Laser Shock is a cheap and efficient damage increase for low-tier Dartlings, and the first step toward Laser Cannon and Plasma Accelerator.

As a crosspath it is the preferred choice for the bottom path:

• 2-0-3, 2-0-4, 2-0-5: Buckshot, BADS and BEZ get the bigger shock values above. On BEZ, 2-0-5 deals significantly more damage than 0-2-5.

It is less useful on the middle path, which loses the bonus damage, but M.A.D still takes 2-5-0 for the Focused Firing accuracy.

Is it worth it?

Yes, as a crosspath on bottom-path Dartlings it is one of the best value upgrades on the tower.
