Advanced Targeting

Advanced Targeting gives the Dartling Gunner camo detection, so its darts and later upgrades can target and pop camo bloons. It does not change damage, pierce or attack speed.

When to buy it

It is a cheap camo answer at $250 on Medium, and the first step toward Faster Barrel Spin, which is the real damage upgrade on this path.

Because the Dartling aims at your cursor and has effectively long reach, a few cheap 0-1-0 Dartlings can work as spammable camo detectors in challenge modes where camo support is limited.

As a crosspath, you will almost always continue to Faster Barrel Spin:

• x-2-0 top path: Laser Cannon, Plasma Accelerator and Ray of Doom all prefer the attack speed.
• x-1-0: only if you need camo and nothing else on the middle path.

Is it worth it?

Yes, as the gateway to Faster Barrel Spin and as cheap built-in camo. On its own it adds no damage.
