How to use Long Range Darts
Long Range Darts increases the Dart Monkey's range from 32 to 40, a 25% boost, and makes its darts last about 35% longer so they can reach the edge of that bigger circle. Damage, pierce and attack speed are unchanged.
When to buy it
As a standalone upgrade it is only useful in a few early CHIMPS starts where a Dart Monkey needs just a little more reach to cover two parts of the track. Most of the time you buy it because it is the path to Enhanced Eyesight, one of the cheapest sources of camo detection, and then to Crossbow.
It is also part of every x-0-1 and x-0-2 crosspath. On Juggernaut and Ultra-Juggernaut it adds range and projectile lifespan, and on fan club darts the extra range carries over to the transformed monkeys.
Is it worth it?
It is cheap enough that it rarely hurts, but its value comes from what it unlocks. Buy it when you are heading to Enhanced Eyesight or Crossbow, or when a tower is just short of covering an important stretch of track.
