Tyrannosaurus Rex

Tyrannosaurus Rex replaces the Velociraptor and raises Beast Power to 16, up to 64 with merges. Range goes to 30, bite damage to 20 to 60, pierce to 20 to 45, and the bonus against stunned Bloons grows to +10 to +30. At Beast Power 64, all of its attacks damage through MOAB-class layers, so a kill on a MOAB carries into its children.

It also gains the Stomp ability: a blast with 100 radius that deals heavy damage and stuns everything it hits except BADs and Boss Bloons. Regular Bloons are stunned for 6 seconds, MOABs and BFBs for 3, ZOMGs and DDTs for 2. The cooldown starts at 40 seconds and drops to about 19 seconds at max power.

When to buy it

T-Rex is strong for its cost but needs active positioning, so move it to where the most dangerous Bloons are.

• At Power 16 it one-shots Ceramics until round 80 and the Stomp gives a burst of damage and control, but it is inconsistent.
• At Power 64 it is far more reliable and can skip blimp layers, which is what makes it a real late-game carry.
• The efficient way to reach 64 is to merge six Velociraptors into a Power 16 T-Rex. Merging extra T-Rexes is less cost-efficient.

Overclock is an excellent buff on a max-power T-Rex.

Is it worth it?

Yes, at max Beast Power. It is one of the best value tier 4s in CHIMPS, with damage, blimp layer skipping and a strong panic button in one tower.
