Tier 2 upgrade
Barracuda
Barracuda (2-0-0) bites up to 12 Bloons and knocks them back. At Beast Power 6 it is one of the best early towers. Merging tips.
The Barracuda slaps Bloons backwards and pops multiple layers with their razor sharp teeth. Base Beast Power increased to 3 and max Beast Power becomes 6. Bonus of 2 Beast Power compared to predecessor.

How to use Barracuda
Barracuda replaces the Piranha and raises Beast Power to 3, with a maximum of 6 through merging. Range goes from 25 to 35, pierce from 1 to 4 to 12, damage from 1 to 2 to 4, and the bite radius doubles. It also knocks regular Bloons back on hit (less on Lead and Ceramic). Merging more Barracudas into it raises pierce, damage and attack speed.
When to buy it
At Beast Power 3 it is average. At Power 6 it is a monster for the early game, wiping out nearly everything before the first MOAB, as long as it can see and pop the Bloons (it cannot hit Camo, and its damage does not hurt Lead).
- To reach Power 6, merge another Barracuda into it.
- 2-2-0 with a Power 6 Adasaurus is a very common pairing that covers Leads and holds well into the mid-game.
- Thanks to knockback, it keeps its value later than most early towers.
Is it worth it?
Yes, at max Beast Power. It is one of the strongest early-game options on any map with water.
