Pouākai (0-0-5) grabs ZOMGs and hundreds of Bloons at once, trivializing most rounds before the BAD. How to unlock it and what it needs.
The legendary Pouākai, a bird so large that it can pick up, carry off and destroy almost any number of Bloons of almost any size. Requires 3 additional Condor Handlers to control.

How to use Pouākai
Pouākai replaces the Giant Condor. To buy it, the Condor must be at max Beast Power with three additional Condors merged in. Beast Power starts at 36 and goes up to 132, sitting at 84 with the three extra tier 4s. It now deals Normal damage, so it can grab Leads and DDTs on its own. Damage rises to 10 to 90 with +80 against MOAB-class Bloons, pierce to 150 to 450, and it attacks faster. It can grab ZOMGs, carries blimps without slowing down, and Ceramics no longer cost extra pierce. BADs and Boss Bloons can be targeted for scratch damage but not grabbed.
When to buy it
Pouākai is an exceptionally strong tier 5. On most maps it trivializes every round before the BAD by carrying huge groups and whole blimps back up the track.
What it still needs:
- Slowdown support against DDTs, such as Relentless Glue or Bloon Sabotage, so it does not chase them across the map.
- A real BAD damage source, such as MOAB SHREDR or another anti-blimp tower, especially on short maps.
The saveup from Condor is easy on most maps, but harder on Expert maps. On multi-lane maps, four Power 16 Condors are often better during the saveup than one Power 64 Condor.
How it compares
- Megalodon is better against Boss Bloons and in Freeplay, but needs water.
- Giganotosaurus skips layers and stuns globally, but has weaker control.
- Pouākai is the strongest control tower of the three and works on any map with track in range.
Is it worth it?
Yes. It is one of the best tier 5s for CHIMPS black borders, as long as you add a BAD answer.
