How to use Golden Eagle
Golden Eagle replaces the Horned Owl and raises Beast Power to 8, up to 24 with merges. Pierce jumps to 30 to 90, damage to 1 to 3, and the grab radius to 25. Ceramics only cost 1 extra pierce instead of 4, and it can overflow pierce, so it grabs large groups of Ceramics at once. At Power 24 it can also grab one MOAB per attack, and if it destroys a grabbed blimp in mid-air, no children are spawned.
When to buy it
Golden Eagle is a cheap way to thin out dense groups:
- Pick up clumps of Ceramics in the mid-game and carry them to an isolated stretch of track, where your defense can handle them separately.
- Its low damage makes it a decent late-round stall for Super Ceramics, though Horned Owl is more cost-effective for pure stalling.
- Set it to Strong to focus Ceramics, or Close to reduce chasing.
It tends to chase targets, so do not count on it for cleanup.
Is it worth it?
As density control and as the step to Giant Condor, yes. As a damage tower, no.
