How to use Rapid Reload

Rapid Reload cuts the Mortar's attack cooldown again, from 1.5 seconds to 1.08 seconds. That is about 39% faster than Faster Reload and roughly 85% faster than a base Mortar.

When to buy it

On its own it is mostly a step toward Heavy Shells and Artillery Battery. In early race setups, cheap combos like 1-2-0, 2-2-0 or 0-2-2 work well.

As a crosspath:

  • Signal Flare (0-2-3): the best crosspath for it. The extra fire rate is what makes the decamo flare reliable, especially against camo pinks.
  • Top path (3-2-0, 4-2-0, 5-2-0): good on maps with several lanes active at once, where the Mortar needs to cover more ground.
  • Bottom path: an alternative to Bloon Buster's damage when you need more consistency.

Is it worth it?

Yes, as a crosspath on Signal Flare and multi-lane maps. On single-lane loop maps, the damage crosspaths usually give more value.
