Artillery Battery

Artillery Battery triples the Mortar's attack speed, so it fires every 0.27 seconds. It also adds the Bombardment ability: for 8 seconds the Mortar attacks four times faster again (every 0.0675 seconds) with 15% larger blasts. The cooldown is 60 seconds. With the Burny Stuff crosspath, each burn tick goes from 4 to 6 damage.

When to buy it

Artillery Battery is a solid mid-game tower that clears most rounds with its constant blasts, deals decent blimp damage and can wipe the screen with Bombardment. It keeps its value into the late game as ceramic cleanup and for erasing clumps of low-tier blimps with the ability.

It is best on maps with long, compact loops like Moon Landing and Dark Path. It is also a great tower to save up from for late-game purchases, including Pop and Awe.

Crosspaths:

• 2-4-0: Bloon Buster damage. The standard choice.
• 0-4-2: burn damage over time, better on long tracks.
• 0-4-1: Increased Accuracy for built-in camo.

Striker Jones buffs Mortars heavily and is the best hero here.

Is it worth it?

Yes. At $6,500 on Medium, it is one of the best value tier 4s in the game for CHIMPS, especially on loop maps.
