How to use Burny Stuff

Burny Stuff sets bloons on fire when shells hit them. The burn deals 1 Fire damage every 1.25 seconds (every second with Extra Burny Stuff) and lasts about 3.85 seconds, so it ticks up to three times on each bloon hit. Tier 3 and higher Mortars apply stronger burns that replace weaker ones.

When to buy it

On its own, the burn is a small chip effect that sees some use in races. As a crosspath it scales a lot with upgrades:

  • Top path (3-0-2, 4-0-2, 5-0-2): the best crosspath on long maps, where bloons stay on screen long enough to take every tick. With The Big One the burn deals 12 per tick, and with The Biggest One 65.
  • Middle path (0-3-2, 0-4-2, 0-5-2): the weaker crosspath compared with Bloon Buster, but it spreads damage across many bloons, which helps in Least Cash challenges and races.

It also leads into Signal Flare, Shattering Shells and Blooncineration.

Is it worth it?

As a top-path crosspath on long maps, yes. On short maps, the burn does not have time to finish, so Rapid Reload or Bloon Buster usually give more.
