How to use Heart of Vengeance

Heart of Vengeance gives the Druid +10% attack speed right away, plus another 1% for every life you lose after buying it, up to +50% in total. The bonus goes back down if you regain lives, and lives above your total at purchase do not count.

When to buy it

Most players treat the base +10% as the real value; deliberately losing lives is rarely worth it in competitive modes like boss events or Contested Territory. The attack speed boost is still a good crosspath for storm Druids that depend on attack speed, such as Ball Lightning (4-0-2) and Monarch of Storms (5-0-2). It is the required step to Druid of Wrath.

Because it sits on the bottom path, Druid of Wrath, Poplust and Avatar of Wrath all keep the +10% attack speed as well.

Is it worth it?

Yes as a cheap attack speed crosspath on top path Druids and as the route to the wrath line. Do not plan on the life-loss bonus.
