How to use Long Range Rangs

Long Range Rangs increases the Boomerang Monkey range by a third, from 43 to about 57, and makes the boomerang fly a wider arc so it actually reaches the edge of that circle. On Glaive Lord it also enlarges the orbiting glaive area.

When to buy it

On a few maps the extra reach lets one Boomerang Monkey cover several lanes, which can make a 0-0-1 worth it in the opening rounds. Most of the time, though, you buy it on the way to Red Hot Rangs, which adds lead popping and extra damage.

As a crosspath, the x-0-1 step is the cheap version of the bottom path: 5-0-1 Glaive Lord gets more range and a bigger orbit, and 0-x-1 middle path builds can reach more track. In practice most players continue to x-0-2 for the damage.

Is it worth it?

For $100 it rarely hurts, but its main value is unlocking Red Hot Rangs. Buy it alone only when range is the specific problem.
