Turbo Charge

Turbo Charge keeps Bionic Boomerang's normal attack and adds an activated ability. When used, the monkey attacks five times as fast and deals +1 damage for 10 seconds (15 with the Long Turbo Monkey Knowledge). The ability has a 45 second cooldown and is first ready 15 seconds after you buy the upgrade. With the Bionic Augmentation Monkey Knowledge it also gains camo detection while the ability is active.

When to buy it

Turbo Charge is a strong mid-game tower for its price when the ability is up. It can erase the first MOABs and tear through most mid-game rounds. Outside the ability it is just a Bionic Boomerang, so you need other towers to cover the downtime.

Time the ability for the most dangerous moment of each round, such as the ceramic clumps of round 63 or when several MOABs break into ceramics at once.

• 2-4-0 is the preferred crosspath for pierce, especially with Recurring 'Rangs.
• 0-4-2 is used when it must pop lead by itself.

Is it worth it?

Yes, if you use the ability well. It is good value for burst damage, and it is the path to Perma Charge. If you cannot be there to activate abilities, a tower with constant damage is a safer choice.
