How to use Distraction

Distraction gives every Ninja attack a chance to send the bloons it damages backwards along the track by 100 to 150 units. Ceramic Bloons are pushed only half that distance, and MOAB-class bloons are not affected. Each attack type has its own chance to trigger.

When to buy it

On a single Ninja, Distraction is unreliable. The chance is small and the Ninja's pierce is low, so you will rarely notice it. It is mainly a step on the way to Counter-Espionage and Shinobi Tactics, where it becomes useful: with many Shinobis on the field, the blowback triggers often enough to stall ceramic waves.

The Diversion Tactics knowledge raises the trigger chance a little. As a crosspath it adds blowback to Flash Bomb's bombs on a 0-1-3 build.

MOAB-class bloons are never pushed, so do not count on it for blimp rounds.

Is it worth it?

Not on its own. Buy it when you are going for Counter-Espionage or Shinobi Tactics.
