How to use Counter-Espionage
Counter-Espionage lets every Ninja attack strip the camo property from the bloons it damages. It also adds +2 damage against camo, but because the camo is removed before the damage lands, that bonus only matters against Phayze while its Radar Jam is active.
When to buy it
It is the cheapest way to strip camo, which makes it tempting early, but a low-tier Ninja simply does not hit enough bloons. It tends to struggle with the spaced-out camo pinks around round 47 and the grouped camo rainbows from round 56. Use it as a backup, not as your only answer.
It shines in two places:
- As the step to Shinobi Tactics, where a large group of Shinobis strips camo from almost everything except DDTs.
- In Ninja-heavy setups against Phayze, where the camo damage bonus adds up.
A 0-2-3 Flash Bomb also strips camo with its bombs, but it is weaker than other DDT decamo options unless it has Shinobi support.
Is it worth it?
As part of the Shinobi path, yes. As a standalone decamo tower in CHIMPS, a Monkey Village or other dedicated support is more reliable.
