How to use Trident Efficiency

Trident Efficiency cuts the cooldown of the Mermonkey's trident attack by 20%, which means 25% more throws. If you later crosspath into Alluring Melody, it also shortens the delay of the trance pull by 10%, though not the trance cooldown.

When to buy it

At $150 it is a cheap early boost when you cannot yet afford a second Mermonkey, and the faster throws help most on short maps. Its main job is as a crosspath: higher-tier middle and bottom path Mermonkeys almost always want the top path's attack speed, and this is the first step.

It leads into Trident Swiftness, which stacks another big attack speed bonus on top.

On an existing 0-1-0 Mermonkey it is still the best crosspath to add, even though Sharper Prongs does better in race conditions.

Is it worth it?

Yes. It is cheap and used as a crosspath on most mid and late-game Mermonkeys.
