Getting a Degree 100 Paragon is the ultimate flex and a necessity for Elite Boss Events. Since recent game updates, the system uses a combination of pops, tiers, and a direct cash slider.
In single-player, the maximum degree you can reach without a specific hero is Degree 91 (Degree 92 for the Dart Monkey due to the double Crossbow Master Monkey Knowledge). To reach Degree 100, you absolutely must use Geraldo.
Here are the four pillars to maximize your Paragon’s level:
1. The Pop Count (16.2 Million)
Pops are the most crucial factor. All towers of the specific monkey type you are upgrading must share a combined total of 16.2 million pops.
- Cash Generated: For towers that make money (like the Buccaneer or Engineer), every $1 generated counts as 4 pops. You need $4.05 million generated to max this out.
- Tip: Place your main damage-dealing Tier 5s early in the game or Boss Event so they have plenty of time to rack up pops before you merge them.
2. Non-Tier 5 Upgrades (100 Tiers)
You must place additional towers of the same type and upgrade them. You need exactly 100 upgrades (tiers) across all non-Tier 5 towers on the map.
- The Math: Placing twenty 0-2-3 towers equals 100 tiers (5 upgrades per tower × 20 towers).
- Tip: Do not just place Level 0-0-0 towers; they contribute nothing to this specific requirement.
3. The Cash Slider (Cash Injection)
When you click the Paragon upgrade button, the game now provides a slider allowing you to inject direct cash into the Paragon’s creation.
- Tip: Drag the slider all the way to the maximum. The game will automatically cap the slider at the exact amount needed to maximize the cash requirement. You will know it is maxed when you cannot add any more funds.
4. Geraldo’s Paragon Power Totems (For Degree 100)
If you meet all three requirements above in a solo game, you will hit Degree 91. To bridge the gap to Degree 100, you need Geraldo.
- How it works: Once Geraldo reaches Level 20, he sells Paragon Power Totems in his shop.
- Tip: You need approximately 40 to 45 Totems placed on the map when you initiate the Paragon upgrade to push a fully prepped Degree 91 Paragon to Degree 100. Buy them every round once Geraldo is maxed.
