In Bloons TD 6, the “best” Banana Farm depends entirely on your playstyle, how much effort you want to put into “microing” (manually collecting), and whether you are playing a standard game or a high-intensity Boss Event.

Here is the breakdown of the three paths and which one reigns supreme for different scenarios.

1. Top Path: 5-2-0 (Banana Research Facility)

Best for: Pure Income & Boss Events

The top path is the undisputed king of raw production. The 4-2-0 (Banana Research Facility) is the standard for high-level play, and the 5-2-0 (Banana Central) not only produces massive amounts of cash but also buffs all other 4-x-x farms on the map.

  • Pros: Highest possible cash per round; essential for farming enough money to buy Paragons for Bosses.
  • Cons: Very expensive; requires manual collection (unless using a Banana Farmer) or clicking on crates.

2. Middle Path: 0-5-2 (Monkey Nomads/Monkey Wall Street)

Best for: Burst Cash & Ability-Based Farming

The middle path relies on the IMF Loan and Monkey Nomads abilities. It allows you to “borrow” money from the future to buy expensive upgrades now.

  • Pros: Huge bursts of cash via abilities; the Level 10 ability provides a massive cash injection.
  • Cons: The “loan” mechanic reduces your future income until the debt is paid; requires active ability management.

3. Bottom Path: 0-2-5 (Monkey Wall Street)

Best for: Lazy Farming & Space Efficiency

The bottom path is the favorite for players who want to focus on their towers rather than their economy. The 0-2-3 (Marketplace) and 0-2-4 (Central Market) automatically deposit money into your bank at the end of every round.

  • Pros: Completely automatic (no clicking required); Central Markets provide a significant buff to Merchantmen (Boat farming); provides a small amount of life regeneration.
  • Cons: Lower raw income than the top path; takes longer to “pay for itself” compared to a 4-2-0.

The Verdict: Which one should you build?

  • For Boss Events: Go Top Path (4-2-0). You need the most money possible as fast as possible to afford a Degree 100 Paragon.
  • For Standard Games (Casual): Go Bottom Path (0-2-3/0-2-4). It’s stress-free and pays for itself quickly enough to win by Round 80 or 100.
  • If you use Boats: Always use Bottom Path (0-2-4). The synergy between Central Markets and 0-0-4 Monkey Buccaneers is the most efficient economic engine in the game.
