Gwendolin is one of the four original heroes in Bloons TD 6. As a fire-themed pyrotechnician, she excels at area-of-effect (AoE) damage and providing powerful offensive buffs to nearby towers. She is a favorite for players who favor aggressive, high-damage strategies and is particularly effective on maps with loops or intersecting paths.
Level Progression & Key Abilities
Gwendolin uses a flamethrower that fires blasts of fire, dealing Fire damage. Her attacks can pop Lead bloons from Level 1, but she cannot pop Purple bloons until she reaches Level 16.
| Level | Key Milestone | Description |
| 1 | Pyrotechnics | Fires a short-range blast of fire that can pop Lead bloons. |
| 3 | Cocktail of Fire | Ability: Throws a flask that creates a fire patch on the track, dealing heavy damage to bloons passing through. |
| 4 | Heat It Up | Passive: Every several shots, Gwendolin unleashes a fire burst that gives nearby towers a +1 damage and lead-popping buff. |
| 10 | Firestorm | Ability: Sets the entire screen on fire, damaging all bloons and applying the “Heat It Up” buff to every tower on the map. |
| 17 | Enhanced Heat | The Heat It Up buff now provides +2 damage to Lead and MOAB-class bloons. |
| 20 | Grand Pyromaniac | Massive increase to Firestorm damage and attack speed for all fire-based attacks. |
Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths:
- Excellent Grouped Cleanup: Her fire blasts and Cocktail of Fire make short work of Ceramic rushes and dense packs of Lead bloons.
- Lead Popping Power: Available from Round 1, she eliminates the need for early-game Lead defenses like Cannons or Alchemists.
- Force Multiplier: The Heat It Up passive is one of the best mid-game buffs, significantly increasing the DPS of high-projectile towers.
- Map-Wide Support: Her Level 10 Firestorm provides a global buff, which is invaluable during high-pressure rounds.
Weaknesses:
- Purple Bloon Immunity: She is completely helpless against Purple bloons until Level 16 unless she is placed near an MIB (2-3-0 Village).
- Short Range: Compared to Quincy or Adora, Gwendolin needs to be placed close to the track to be effective.
- Limited MOAB Damage: While her buffs help, her own direct damage against single high-health targets (like the BAD) is lower than dedicated damage heroes.
Best Uses & Synergy
- The “Heat It Up” Meta: Pair Gwendolin with towers that fire many projectiles with low base damage, such as the Tack Zone (0-0-5 Tack Shooter) or Grandmaster Ninja (5-0-2). The +1 damage buff from her passive effectively doubles their power.
- Round 63/76/78 Specialist: Gwendolin’s Cocktail of Fire and Firestorm are perfect counters for these infamous “Ceramic Rush” rounds. Timing her abilities correctly can clear the entire wave instantly.
- Ring of Fire Synergy: She naturally complements other fire-based towers. Placing her near a 4-x-x Tack Shooter or x-x-4 Mortar creates a devastating high-heat zone.
- Primary Tower Support: Because many Primary towers (like the Dart and Tack) struggle with Leads early on, Gwendolin fills that gap perfectly while they provide the range she lacks.
