Magic Monkeys Only is probably the most fun game mode for those who love using Magic Monkeys in BTD6. On hard difficulty, beating round 80 is enough to complete the mode, but I’m sure there are times when you wonder if you can beat more rounds. When I had this thought, I challenged myself. I completed Round 100 in the Magic Monkeys Only mode on the first and most basic map, Monkey Meadow, and turned it into a guide for you.
To empower Magic Monkeys, I chose Obyn Greenfoot as the hero. We start by placing Obyn. Then, to earn money, we place an Alchemist near the entrance of the map and upgrade it to 0-2-4, starting from Path 3 as we earn money.
For Camo Bloons, we need a Wizard Monkey. After placing it, upgrade it to 2-0-4, starting from Path 3. With the third upgrade on Path 3, Shimmer, it will remove the camo from the bloons, allowing our other monkeys to pop them.
Now, we’ve reached the main part of our strategy. We’re going to create Obyn’s Druid Squad! We place a total of 6 Druids, each within the range of each other and Obyn. We upgrade all of them to 0-2-4. With the boosts they receive from Obyn and each other, they will become incredibly powerful!
While Obyn’s team pops the bloons, we save money. When Obyn’s Wall of Trees ability is active, you can earn even more money. Once you have enough money, upgrade the Wizard Monkey to 2-0-5 Prince of Darkness by upgrading Path 3. Then, place another Wizard Monkey and start upgrading it to 4-0-2.
Now it’s time to fully empower Obyn’s team. Save up money, and when you have enough, upgrade one of the Druids to Avatar of Wrath by upgrading Path 3 to 0-2-5. Your team is now much more deadly!
With Obyn leading this incredible Druid squad, you’ll win the game. From here, you can place any towers you want and enjoy the rest. I upgraded my second Wizard Monkey to 5-0-2. Let me know what you did in the comments!
