Looking to push past Round 100 on Sunset Gulch in Hard Mode? With the right economic engine and tower synergy — and no need to panic over early leaks — this guide shows how to scale efficiently and dominate the late game. No Monkey Knowledge required!
Start the game with a Druid.
When you can afford it, place a Sniper Monkey for extra support.
Save up and place Benjamin by Round 11. Don’t stress about leaks — Benjamin will help regenerate lives and boost your income over time.
Upgrade your Druid to 1-3-0, first along Path 1, then Path 2.
Start building your economy:
- Place a Banana Farm and upgrade it to 2-0-0.
- Place a second Banana Farm, and upgrade it to 2-0-3 (Marketplace).
- Upgrade your Sniper Monkey to 0-2-2, then continue to 0-2-4 (Full Auto Rifle).
Build more income:
- Add five more Banana Farms, and upgrade all of them to 2-0-3 Marketplaces.
- Place an Alchemist near your Sniper and upgrade it to 4-2-0 to provide strong buffs.
- Add two more Banana Farms, also upgraded to 2-0-3 — bringing your total to nine Marketplaces.
Place a Monkey Village and upgrade it to 2-2-0 to boost your Sniper’s speed and provide Camo detection.
Now, upgrade your Sniper Monkey to 0-2-5 (Elite Defender) — this will carry you through the next several rounds with ease.
Upgrade three Marketplaces to Central Markets for greater passive income.
Upgrade your Druid to 2-5-0 (Spirit of the Forest) to provide both map control and steady income.
Eventually, convert all nine Marketplaces into Central Markets.
From here, it’s all about fun and power! With money pouring in, the rest is up to your creativity. Here’s what worked for me:
- Added a Monkey Sub, upgraded to 5-0-2 (Pre-emptive Strike / Lord of the Abyss) for powerful MOAB popping
- Placed a 5-2-0 Alchemist to buff all key towers
- Upgraded the Monkey Village to 5-2-0 (Primary Expertise) for Mega Ballista and Primary tower buffs
- Placed a Boomerang Monkey and upgraded it to 5-0-2 (Glaive Lord) for unstoppable coverage near the core
That’s it — Round 100+ becomes a walk in the park!
